Switzerland Tourism represents dozens of regions – each with distinct sites and activities. In order to highlight the country's endless adventures in a single campaign, we used their vast landscapes to our advantage.
Our team, world travelers ourselves, created The Scenic Route, a mobile campaign that inspired users to plot a virtual journey through Switzerland one spellbinding scene at a time. After picking detours and activities along the way – leading toward anything from snow-capped mountains to verdant valleys – users finished the entire route by entering a sweepstakes, allowing us to capture 15,745 email addresses (of which over 75% were brand-new subscribers) for the tourism board’s newsletter audience.
The campaign was supported by a very targeted digital media campaign that drove consumers to the campaign-specific microsite. The Scenic Route microsite allowed users to engage with a wide variety of content across all of the partner regions in an interactive and intuitive way.
Users were so enthralled with our vintage travel poster inspired illustrations that we decided to turn them into posters that Switzerland Tourism could use beyond the campaign.
